Testimonials
I was surprised at how much Deb taught me about nutrition and eating. With each session she built on the previous session's foundation. I have never felt better or eaten better. I was fortunate enough to lose nearly 50 lbs and have my blood sugar return to normal. My doctor pronounced me metabolically normal!
Debbie's ability to customize a plan for my individual lifestyle was instrumental in my weight loss. Rather than wholesale changes, her ability to gradually adjust my eating habits resulted in me not only reaching my goals, but also developing a lifestyle that works for the future. I have been to several nutritionists during my adult years and Debbie's approach was the first one that worked for me.
Nutrition Advantage helped me control my cholesterol with diet and exercise. After four years of taking medication to lower my cholesterol I decided to take a more natural approach. Debbie was able to teach me how to eat healthy and maintain a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. Within a few short months I was able to bring my cholesterol down to a safe level without medication.
I lost 55 pounds by keeping my carbohydrate count to 175 grams per day. That's all I tracked. I think watching my carb intake did help me to make healthier food choices from a calorie and fat perspective as well. Keeping a food diary was and is a very helpful tool. As well as having a positive and realistic attitude towards losing weight. It's all about having a more balanced and healthy lifestyle. I try never to fixate on the idea that I'm on a diet.
Most of my adult life I have struggled with my weight. However, upon the suggestion of another I decided to seek your guidance, experience and expertise. And without a doubt I have been blessed; from your suggestions, experience of what works, and how to make healthy choices. You have educated me on the importance of exercise and the impact of nutritional eating. As a result, at the age of 56 I have lost more than 70 pounds with 12% body fat; coupled with a new healthy outlook on life. Thank you!
Debbie Serenius came to the Lexis Nexis complex to speak to our Women Networking group, and the speaking event was an absolute hit! I had several women contact me to share how helpful the event was to get them on a more healthful track. Debbie shared several recipes that we prepared and gave out as samples to the group, which really sparked a conversation. I would recommend having Debbie come and speak with your group in the near future.
Julia has been so helpful in training me to change my lifestyle and attitude about so many things. We have reviewed proteins, fats, carbs, recipes, labels, exercise, water intake and the list goes on. My goal is to live a healthy lifestyle and Julia is motivating me in every way she can.
Grab your dietitians’ hand and walk with her to your journey back to health and wellness. I did after a recent scary diagnosis of Type II diabetes. As a busy working woman, I needed to have the support and guidance Julia offered. Thank you, Julia, so very much for helping me restore my life!
