Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist…but very few complete the rigorous training of a Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN).
RDs AND RDNs ARE FOOD AND NUTRITION EXPERTS WITH THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in dietetics through an accredited university.
- Dietetic internship approved by The American Dietetic Association.
- Registered through an examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Ongoing continuing professional education requirements.
